The Bureau of the European Committee of the Regions (CoR) will hold its 242nd meeting in Ireland on 22-23 September 2026.
The CoR is primarily a consultative and advisory body representing the interests of local and regional government as part of the EU policy and legislative framework. The EU treaties oblige the Commission and Council to consult the CoR whenever new proposals are made in areas that have repercussions at regional or local level.
The Bureau of the CoR draws up the Committee’s political priorities and oversees their implementation. The Bureau holds one external meeting per Presidency and will meet in Ireland from 22-23 September 2026.
