The Customs Union Group (CUG) is a preparatory body of the Council of the European Union, that reports to the Economic and Financial Affairs Council (ECOFIN).
This working group is responsible for preparing EU external actions in the customs area, evaluating customs union governance and examining the implementation of related horizontal actions working group within the EU Council trade and competitiveness policy areas. In an informal setting, Customs Attaches to the Customs Union Working Group will engage on current customs policy and legislation.
