The SME and Clusters Assembly is the most significant event for small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) in Europe.
The conference takes place once a year as part of the European SME Week (ESW) and plays a vital role in shaping the governance of the Small Business Act. The Assembly takes place in the Member State is holding the EU Presidency. This year, the Assembly will have a clustering element with a view to ‘match-making’ sectors, academia and SMEs to increase their potential.
The Assembly usually features high-level panels and interviews, round tables, workshops, masterclasses, and networking opportunities. The Assembly brings together policymakers, entrepreneurs, business support organisations, and academics with the aim of driving the success and development of the SME sector in Europe.
The Assembly is a platform for exchanging ideas, sharing best practices, and exploring how SMEs can be empowered to drive digital transitions, competitiveness and sustainability with the aim of promoting entrepreneurship. The Assembly acknowledges the need for more promotion of digital support tools, simplification, competitiveness, sustainability and access to finance to support the growth and success of SMEs in Europe.
