Co-hosted by the Office of the Attorney General and the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade, the Rule of Law conference will take place over two days in Dublin. The conference will hear from experts drawn from a wide range of disciplines who will share their perspectives on the rule of law.

This event will bring together EU Member State officials, representatives from the EU Institutions, the legal profession, academics and civil society. Participants will hear from senior politicians, experts in law, international affairs and other disciplines as they assess the fundamental place of the rule of law in the European Union. Over the course of two days, speakers and panellists from a range of backgrounds will offer their perspectives and expert analysis on the state of the rule of law in Europe, why it matters and how we can defend and promote this foundational value of our shared Union.
