This will be a two-day digital health event centred on the European Health Data Space (EHDS). The first day will be a full day conference on EHDS implementation while the second day will consist of a meeting of the EHDS Community of Practice (CoP) for secondary use.

This conference will bring together stakeholders responsible for European Health Data Space (EHDS) implementation for both the primary use (care and treatment) and secondary use (e.g. research and policy making). This two-day digital health event will focus on the European Health Data Space (EHDS).

The first day will feature a full-day conference on EHDS implementation across primary use (care and treatment) and on the secondary use of health data for research and innovation. It will provide an opportunity for Member States to share current learnings and to identify ways to best leverage the value of the EHDS to support healthcare innovation moving forward.

Attendees will hear from senior level policy makers supporting EHDS implementation, patients, clinicians, and health data experts. Key themes will include national implementation approaches, data quality enhancement measures, and planned governance structures supporting data access.

This conference will be followed by a meeting of the EHDS Community of Practice (CoP) for secondary use. The CoP is made up of technical experts and policy leads responsible for implementing EHDS secondary use requirements. As EU Member States will be required to appoint their Health Data Access Body(ies) under the EHDS by March 2027, this meeting will provide an important opportunity for participants to discuss national developments relating to HDAB implementation and to plan together for the future of digital healthcare across the EU.
