The meeting will bring together senior officials responsible for drugs policy across Member States as well as representatives of the European Commission and the European Drugs Agency to discuss the intersection of drug use and homelessness.
The theme of this event is “Drug Use and Homelessness”.
Evidence shows a strong link between homelessness and drug use and vice versa, with people who experience homelessness facing higher prevalence of substance use, poorer physical and mental health, and complex social needs.
During this meeting attendees will identify shared challenges, explore effective policy responses and discuss how the EU Drugs Strategy, Members State strategies and implementation programmes can align with the latest evidence and EU commitments.
This event will explore innovative participatory approaches from EU Member States which contribute to addressing drug use and homelessness in the context of the current and emerging drugs landscape in Europe and the EU commitment to end homelessness by 2030.
