European Mission Soil Week is the flagship annual event of the EU Mission “A Soil Deal for Europe” and provides a platform for stakeholders to review progress, exchange knowledge, and strengthen collaboration in support of healthy soils across Europe.

Healthy soils are essential for sustainable food production, climate mitigation and adaptation, biodiversity protection, and resilient rural economies. The EU Mission “A Soil Deal for Europe” plays a central role in accelerating progress towards healthy soils across Europe, including through the establishment of Living Labs and Lighthouses and through coordinated research and innovation activities.

The event will bring together a broad European and international audience, including representatives from the European Commission, Member States, and associated countries; policymakers involved in agriculture, environment, and research; participants in Mission Soil-funded projects, Living Labs, and Lighthouses; research-performing organisations; farmers and advisory services; industry stakeholders; NGOs and civil society organisations; and other actors engaged in soil health and sustainable land management.

The event will also provide an opportunity for Irish stakeholders — including researchers, farmers, advisory services, policymakers, and industry — to engage directly with European partners and contribute to ongoing Mission Soil activities.
