The Heads of Medicines Agencies (HMA) is the coordination group of the heads of national medicines regulatory agencies. The HMA works closely with the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the European Commission in the operation of the European medicines regulatory system.

The HMA meeting will bring together senior leaders from across the European medicines regulatory network to shape and agree its strategic direction and priorities. It provides a key forum for coordinated discussion between the heads of national medicines regulatory agencies, the European Medicines Agency (EMA) and the European Commission.

Through these exchanges, the meeting will support aligned and unified action across Europe on a range of significant regulatory issues, including the implementation of revised EU pharmaceutical legislation. It also enables the identification of shared priorities and concrete actions to strengthen regulatory cooperation and ensure the effective protection of public and animal health.
