The informal meeting of EU ministers responsible for housing will take place on 25 and 26 November in Dublin.
The informal meeting will be hosted by Ireland’s Minister for Housing, Local Government and Heritage, James Browne, TD, and will provide an important opportunity for EU ministers to engage in an exchange of views on current housing challenges.
The meeting will provide a high-level platform for strategic dialogue, experience sharing and consensus building among Member States with a view to advancing discussions on the European housing agenda including key elements of the European Affordable Housing Plan (published in December 2025).
The meeting will also provide an opportunity for Ministers with responsibility for housing and homelessness to meet and discuss shared priorities with a focus on progressing a Council recommendation on fighting housing exclusion, a key action in the European Affordable Housing Plan. This recommendation seeks to support measures, which will address housing exclusion, and prevent and address homelessness.
