The Irish Presidency will bring together delegates from the Working Party on Development Cooperation and International Partnerships which discusses the policy principles, objectives and methods of the EU’s action in regard to EU development cooperation with third countries.
Ireland will chair the Working Party on Development Co-operation for the 6 months of our Presidency. Regular meetings will take place on a weekly basis covering a range of issues. An informal meeting will take place on 13-15 September 2026 in Ireland. This will provide CODEV delegates from across member states, as well as Commission and EEAS officials, the opportunity for reflection and shared learning on issues impacting on the achievement of sustainable progress in EU development co-operation as well as how development co-operation can best contribute to inclusive economic growth.
