The Meeting of Directors General for Higher Education (DG HE) will be attended by senior government officials responsible for higher education policy.

The DG HE meeting is an event with keynote presentations, breakout discussions, a cultural site visit, a site visit to a higher education institution, and a gala dinner.

The meeting aims to:

  • Advance dialogue on key topics in EU Higher Education

  • Promote cooperation and integration

  • Facilitate discussion and consensus-building to shape higher education policy in major strategic areas

  • Foster stronger collaboration

  • Support the advancement of a coherent and innovative European Higher Education Area.

A key objective of the meeting will be to showcase Ireland’s policy development of higher education courses for people with intellectual disabilities. This will include presentations from key stakeholders, and a visit to a University, to facilitate immersion into successful and impactful learner experiences for the programmes for people with intellectual disabilities.
