The 2026 Mineral Resource Expert Group will meet in Dublin, Ireland on 6 – 8 October 2026. This meeting will be hosted by Geological Survey Ireland within the Department of Climate, Energy and Environment.
This event will bring together representatives from each Member State and associated EEA states to discuss implementation of the Critical Raw Materials Act as it pertains to mineral exploration and the evaluation of mine wastes in the context of the circular economy.
The event will also incorporate the final working meeting of the Geological Service for Europe programme – this programme provides the European Commission and other policy stakeholders with the EU’s primary information service around critical raw materials, energy resources, groundwater dynamics and climate change information.
