This Presidency conference will convene policymakers, researchers and civil society to explore how the One Health approach can address the interconnected challenges of climate change, human health, animal health and environmental sustainability.
This full day event is designed as a modular programme, structured around three thematic sessions. These sessions will include:
Antimicrobial Resistance (AMR)
Emerging & Reemerging Diseases
One Health and Climate Change
This conference will serve as a vital platform to progress a ‘One Health’ approach across governments as a foundational pillar of public health resilience. These efforts directly mirror the broad Irish Presidency priorities linking innovation for competitiveness with the more specific health presidency priority of prevention, innovation and health equity. These are further reinforced by our own national work in drafting a National Life Science Strategy.
This event will focus on practical collaboration, networking, and sharing examples of best practice in Member States to inform collective action across the EU.
