Since 2022, a meeting of EU Law Directors has been hosted by Presidencies on a regular basis as an informal opportunity to discuss key current trends or emerging issues.
The discussion is structured around presentations from guest speakers on topical legal issues, including representatives of the Legal Service of the European Commission and Legal Service of the Council, senior legal practitioners or academics. The meeting provides an important opportunity for capital-based legal advisers dealing with horizontal EU law issues to meet for an exchange of ideas and perspectives on shared challenges.
