The Joint Meeting of Agencies and Authorities aims to strengthen collaboration and deepen shared understanding across health systems, supporting patient access to medicines across the EU.
Several groups provide essential expertise to enable access to medicines for patients in the European Union. Among these are the Heads of Medicines Agencies, National Competent Authorities on Pricing and Reimbursement and Heads of HTA Agencies Group (organisations which assess the clinical and cost-effectiveness of medicines).
This joint meeting of these bodies will support pan-European and cross-agency collaboration on medicines, fostering awareness of the interlinkages between the activities of participating Agencies/Authorities to improve communication and enhance holistic perspectives of the medicines field at a pan-European level. Participants will be provided with the opportunity to share perspectives and insights from their own areas as they relate to wider discussions thereby ensuring common understanding of issues facing health systems in the EU and enabling the development of informed solutions.
